Programs

A Place for Community to Gather

The Bayside Grange #500 works with organizations to host events that share knowledge and raise funds for a number of non profits.

Check the calendar often for a rich variety of family and grown-up happenings. Everyone is welcome to public events that hare cultural traditions, promote sustainability, assist farmers, foster historic preservation, celebrate youth talent, work for peace, share diverse music and dance and raise funds for those in need.

Grange Movement

The Grange Movement was a way to support farmers. Now, years later Progressive Granges across California are defining a new agenda.

The Grange is the oldest agricultural fraternity in the country. Yet over the years, many organizations have emerged to provide assistance in strengthening the economics of the family farm, installing production methods using alternative energy, balancing the needs of farms & fisheries, supporting "buying fresh - buying local". Check out these links under programs.

Sustainable Agriculture

Farmers and Growers utilizing sustainable farming practices understand the long term inter-relatedness between the viability of the resources and the economics of agriculture.

Agricultural Tourism

Agricultural Tourism deepens appreciation for Agriculture and Heritage Preservation through giving travelers opportunities to experience farm and ranch operations and make purchases at the source.

Sustainable Agriculture Directory

The Sustainable Agriculture Directory is one way to find out about the local organizations engaged in agriculture.
