What is the Grange?

The Bayside Grange is listed on the State Historic Register of Historic Buildings and is part of the cultural landscape of Bayside. The Bayside Grange # 500 is one of 13 original Granges established in Humboldt County during the late 1930's & 40's. It is part of a national fraternal organization, The "Patrons of Husbandry" or the Grange, which has been existence for 135 years and is dedicated to supporting agriculture and building community.
